yeah, it has a world event, but not in the same way as the Claw of Jormag, Tequatel the Sunless, or The Shatterer. Those are all lieutenants of the elder dragon. The Megadestroyer is just a really big destroyer and not a lieutenant. The Great Destroyer that was killed at the end of Eye of the North was a lieutenant of Primordus though. Also, we know that the dragons can create new lieutenants because of Edge of Destiny. In that book, a lieutenant of Jormag is killed, as are several other lieutenants throughout the book.

The megadestroyer and other destroyers in Mount Maelstrom and in the Asura areas makes me feel that Primordus might be somewhere near the old EotN Dungeon Shards of Orr. The tunnels there cut clear from one side of the map to the other while crossing the sea of sorrows south of Southsun Cove. If the dragon is not in that particular spot, it could really be anywhere thanks to dredge tunnels.  There is another possibility though.

The Inquest has been taking dragon minions in an effort to harness their energies. The Crucible of Eternity was all about extracting elder dragon powers and weaponizing it. Since the Megadestroyer spawns in a volcano with an inquest base in it, it is not unnatural to believe that the Inquest could have brought the megadestroyer there.

Personally, I think that the dragons don't engage each other directly, but aren't shy at all about manipulation.  Or, maybe, dragon energies cancel each other out.

For example, I wouldn't be surprised if we find out that the Orb used by the Pact to nullify Zhaitan's ability to raise the dead is the artifact of another dragon, maybe Bubbles since it was in the possession of the krait.

Would be kinda funny if the Pact sent an expedition to Cantha and along the way, Bubbles pops up and corrupts the entire fleet because they had been abusing the Orb too much.

He isn't the leader, he just hangs around there. He can also be found in Arah explorable mode. The Dwarves have apparently gone underground to fight Primordus. I would like to see us eventually join in that fight. Thats what I meant by us seeing dwarves again.

About the Mordeth thing... I have a sneaking suspicion that the other pale tree may have something to do with it. A theory I really like, though, is that Mordeth is really an ancient dragon who has been up and alive for much longer than the others, or perhaps that he never went to sleep as the others did and has been roaming the areas to the far East. Thats the sort of thing I think would really catch a lot of people off guard.

He would probably have the most camouflage of all the dragons, but still. How does something so large and destructive go for so long in a jungle without being noticed? o.o

Guysss I have a weird request but you guys are pro at lore, do any of you wish to help me out with my "fanfic"?

Haha I mean I know some lore and read the novels but I haven't played gw1 and I can't be confident that everything is accurate, especially for the future... This story is looking to be really long xD like a novel and will incorporate a lot of ehmry bay players and friends as characters too xD so it'll likely be complicated in the future, especially with back stories of characters like my own who's heritage is supposed to be traced from royal Cantha bloodlines/clans

If you're willing to take a look and let me know if anything might be off or perhaps help me in the future i'd really appreciate it

I was thinking of trying to start a thread where people could talk about their character's stories and background, whether in-game, forum-made, or just thought up. If enough people respond in it you could definitely use it as a reference if you'd like.

If people are interested in learning about Lore for the guildwars universe, I would strongly suggest checking out Wooden Potatoes's videos on Lore. He did a fantastic series of playthroughs of GW1 and some great lore videos leading up to the launch of GW2. Lately he has been doing some GW:Factions lore and discussing Cantha as well as playing GW1 with an Occulus Rift

Why doesn't Wooden Potatoes involve himself here? We have the most active server forum in the game which helps to create a really balanced community.

I'm not his spokesperson or anything, but he's not interested in WvW as much as PvE and sPvP. And to be honest coordination for WvW is the best thing the forums offer that you can't get outside of the actual game.

Anyways, I have no idea why he doesn't post here. Then again there's a bunch other youtubers on our server and none of them are on the forums for whatever reason. Maybe they think twitter or something is better. Who knows. They are free to do whatever they like though.

haven't posted in a while, but here is a new crazy-ass theory about something!

In GW1, the Mursaat were there to keep us from fulfilling the Flameseeker Prophecies. The Flameseeker Prophecies was prophecy from Glint (who ends up being a champion of Krakaltorric) which says that some people who are "chosen" are going to defeat Glint and eventually unleash the titans onto Tyria through the door of Komali. They also were very influential in stopping the Charr from devistating Kryta (albeit that they also ended up pseudo-enslaving the people of Kryta under the White Mantle). Anyways, there is a lot of debate as to whether the Mursaat truly were evil or if they were really just misunderstood back-office-type megalomaniacs who tried to rule benevolently? Wooden Potatoes has mentioned in a video recently that there may even be many connections between the Mursaat and the Asura.

Back on point now, in GW2 we have the Largos. Once again, their are a mysterious race who come from a very mysterious place. They commonly come up and fight us and our allies (in Brisban Wildlands they fight a group of Sylvari, in Snowden Drifts some Kodan, in Frostgorge Sound they fight us). Could it be in some way that the Largos are one of those forces who are anti-dragon, but also realize that we are doing things the wrong way in their minds possibly? Does their attacking Sylvari diplomats indicate that the Sylvari are a threat in some way?
