The big thing that has been hinted at by a few devs is to keep watching the skies during the new event on the 5th

If thats the case I take away all I said about being disappointed. It would be totally awesome. The Pavilion as an entrance to underground cave with some interesting stuff going on. That's really cool.

That last one especially. I'm sure I haven't seen anything like that anywhere in the game and there's no other place in DR other than underground to put it.

As cool as it is, it would be gimmicky and a flashy cover up, if they don't actually address the lore... what the NPCs meant by noises before the collapse, the conflict between what the guards say and the citizens say... There ought to be something dragon or catacombs related.. D:

This is about the Thaumanova reactor and how it is huge and significant in game lore. I've been interested in voting for Kiel, bc I also thought there was something big related to this, being a CoE style lab

Also he's doing a video for Scarlet's Lore soon, so I'm interested in what he has to say about it

About all this Scarlet stuff, I originally fell for what I am now dubbing the "Zephyr-trap" where they release all this great info about the crystal desert, but we really aren't heading in that direction in an expansion sort of way. I have a very strong feeling that we are going to see pretty soon a map expansion west of the Brisban Wildlands. I think that it would be very appropriate to have her base located somewhere that there is inquest around and large groups of bandits who can easily become pirates. There is already a large inquest presence out there, there are many bandits, and they have a fort we can't get into. Sounds a lot like a great place to hide your fortress.

Jormag- We know he has forced the Norn south. To protect the Norn as they traveled south in escape, Ox, Owl, Wolverine, and Eagle remained to fight back Jormag. Apparently Ox and Wolverine were seen killed by many but the last Owl Havroun tells us that Owl has died as well fighting Jormag. We don't know anything about Eagle.
Clearly the Jormag fight will be very Norn-centric, but I would love for us to travel into the mists with the Havroun spirit-walking abilities. I could easily see a final fight where we are investigating the spirit of Eagle and end up traveling into the Mists. We find the Havroun there locked in ice, where Jormag's power is starting to affect the mists themselves. We free him and he summons a giant Eagle which we ride through a full-on assault by the PACT with many airships giving their all. When we finally get near Jormag, we jump onto a nearby PACT airship and Eagle in a last bit of sacrifice claws jormag while a volley of shots from a massive air-fleet and ground offensive puts him down.
yeah. that would be cool.
Bubbles- We don't know anything about this guy, but I have a really crazy idea about him. For those who don't know, Bubbles is the unofficial name given to the Deep Sea Dragon. I have a theory that Kuunavang is a lieutenant of the deep sea dragon in the same way that Glint was a lieutenant of Kralkatorrik. During the Factions storyline, we free this dragon who was trapped by Shiro Tagachi's Death in the Harvest Temple. What if Shiro's death yell, which turned the sea to jade (entrapping Kuunavang) actually cleansed the dragon of the deep sea dragon's corruption (and replaced it with Shiro's corruption, which is really Abaddon's corruption, which we cleanse). Aesthetically, Kuunavang is a more serpent-like dragon... the same type that is generally associated with the sea. Could it then be that the events of GW1 with the flameseeker prophecies is really Abaddon trying to contain the elder dragons? Could Shiro's death yell which turned the sea to Jade and petrified the forest have been a tool to contain one of the elder dragons from escaping? Two races have experience in this since Cantha is still isolated and not talking: The Tengu and the Largos.
Players would then get to make Tengu characters or Largos Characters (or retain their existing characters) and move through the story of the Tengu on Cantha and unlock their secrets and their relationship with Kuunavang and possibly the dragons themselves. The whole thing would begin with the Largos openly attacking the Tengu. It turns out that the deep sea dragon has been summoning horrible creatures to attack the Largos and they find out that the Tengu know about it (and could possibly be giving refuge to Kuunavang?). The players work through a story where we ultimately unify the two races and summon the PACT in a campaign starting in either the Tengu city in Tyria or an underwater dome city home of the Largos, and then eventually cross into Cantha for an ultimate showdown with the deep sea dragon in their new home: the once frozen jade sea.

Don't get me wrong I love Scarlet as a character and Rox and Braham started to grow on me, but the actual story... Idk, I'm starting to loose faith that Anet can deliver in that regard without an expansion and even then..

I think that expanding the personal story is now very greatly needed. Players need to start getting personal choice back and have options for their own story now. Sure, its fun to do all this stuff in the world, but we are moving at the world's pace. That is the beauty of the personal story. Players can do what they want to get through it, be it crafting, mapping, WvW, etc. The key is, when the story is taking place, its the pace of the players for how fast they see the content and how much they get.
When I play a new character, I tend to go and clear a zone or two and then craft before logging off. This means that when I play, I knock out 4-6 personal story missions in one sitting. I find that I can appreciate the story better that way since the missions tend to be in 3-episode chunks. What excites me a little is how the last Scarlet episodes seemed to have that same style to it. We had the Speech and it being disrupted, the invasions began, and then a bit of content where Scarlet is defeated. The only thing truly missing from the equation now is giving the player choice and different paths and options. Those are the things that make PvE on Alternate Characters compelling.

But with scarlet lore I'd say we would be moving towards the discovery of the jungle dragon if we follow this line. If they open up more maguuma jungle maps which would actually be close to bloodstone fen
Here's one thing I've been pondering though. The dragons might largely be tied to bloodstones and their location. If they are then this unifies gw1 and gw2 lore. Bloodstones seal away magic to preserve it from dragons, we hear about bloodstones in Arah, the power portalling into the mists and we have the white mantle and thaumanova scarlet steam creature portals and various hints all over the place.
The jungle dragon would probably be drawn and it's awakening might have to do with bloodstone fen. There is also bloodstone caverns in shiver peaks where one of the bloodstones crashed through the mountains. This might have to do with jormag. The bloodstone was originally made by the human gods in Orr where zhaitan was located. Some suggest there is a bloodstone that flew into the water/sea which is keeping the sea dragon busy whom like all dragons devour and consume magic and magical substance. Is there a bloodstone in crystal desert? And underground with primordus? I'd like to think mount maelstrom is closest to primordus current location cus of all the destroyers and meta event
Does bloodstones tie in with the dragons now? I believe they are closely tied
Personally I'd like to see crystal desert a lot haha
