I'll have to check a guide to see what I need, but I suspect I'll need more low-level mats than anything. (Also, I only gave you like three of those shard things. You don't owe me. )

yes, it's labour as we belong to the british queen still and were abandoned by france. le sigh~ lol

There's something other then zerker and sinister?  Your lying to me if you tell me there is (talking pve here, pvp has a lot more diversity to stat combos).  I'm still not seeing this difficult content people complain about in the open world.  If you just half pay attention the game is still easy mode.  I'm a Monster Hunter player though so I'm used to punishing games, so maybe I'm a bit jaded to it.

Well, that's pretty much what I've been saying—the stuff I've run into in the HoT maps so far generally seems more tedious than actually challenging. I don't know what I was expecting from these maps, but...I dunno. I guess I was hoping for mechanics beyond giving every other mob a break bar and/or making every other mob an elite/champ.

On reddit people were complaining about how hard it is during beta 2, I didn't go to that subreddit for a couple weeks after the launch so I don't know how people reacted but it was probably similar.  They just increased the mob density and health pools/more veterans or higher.  I don't know where to play in the game anymore since they nerfed dungeon rewards and killed fractals for a lot of people.  I'll probably go back to tried and true spvp and wvw again here shortly in the down time of farming for my legendary.  Hopefully raids do it for me, though I've always gravitated more to the pvp side of games so I guess it makes sense.

Short story time

So I was doing my spvp daily Monday night on a daily map.  The daily didn't have player kills so typically fighting is frowned upon in a daily map.  I'm going towards mid where people are going back and forth with capping for the daily and I am walking towards an enemy thief.  I was just going to pass them as kills isn't part of the daily when they try to jump me.  I utterly destroy them(still had over 50% hp when I finished them) and told them in /s lesson learned.  So the rest of the match they proceed in trying to kill me over and over again to no avail.  I got so bored with how bad they played I was letting them get me to 75% before I even did anything.  Not once did they kill me, and they also never learned their lesson apparently :/

I think a lot of thieves have this idea that they're supposed to always be able to just jump out and effortlessly 1-shot people, and they get all confused when things don't go that way.

after being disappointed in the guild puzzle last night, i wanted to look into it a bit more and figure out what went wrong on that last part since it looks like the majority of people who did it weren't able to get the guild commendation rewards.

since i don't really know what went down, was there anything done differently while you guys were on the lower levels, sanji?

Armory
The Armory is a three-level room, with the middle and bottom floors filled with a yellow gas. Guild members enter on the top floor where there are two buttons to the north and south of a hole in the center. The goal is to reach the bottom floor and build a battering ram to exit the armory. The yellow gas is highly lethal and will deal a significant amount of damage each second, so the guild will need to assign members to stay on the top and middle floors to keep the gas at bay while they work on the bottom floor.
Top floor
To start the event, two guild members will need to stand on the two buttons, causing water to pour into the lower level, clearing the gas. These two players will need to remain on the buttons to keep the gas clear for now. All other guild members can drop down to the second level. The ghosts on this top floor have knockback attacks, so try to keep them clear (assign bodyguards to remain up top if you have the numbers). Moving from the button for a couple seconds will not immediately kill everyone else, but is highly discouraged.

Middle floor
The middle floor has machinery, with exposed gears, and several oozes that repeatedly spawn. Guild members need to kill the oozes to get a Ball of Ooze, which should be used on the gears to grease them and keep them running. Leave a couple guild members to continue killing oozes and greasing the gears while the rest jump down to the lower floor. Without the gears repeatedly greased, they will seize up again and the gas will return to the area.

Bottom floor
The bottom floor has various carts strewn about. Kill the nearby ghosts and search the carts to find parts. Take them to the fallen column in front of the door on the north side of the room to begin building a Makeshift Ram. Once built, at least one player needs to keep using it to break down the door. After the door is broken, the gas dissipates permanently and all guild members can move to the bottom floor and through the door into the vault to claim the chest.

To exit, make your way through the winding path to the top of the vault and find the well in the center. Drop into this and kill the Veteran Shadow Skelk in the water below to clear the way to another chest at the bottom. Interact with the statue of the Ascalonian Soldier to leave.

Yeah, Sanji broke down the door and I went through the door along with a couple others - but the gas didn't go away, and the door respawned so nobody else could come through.

I'll keep telling myself the missing chests would have been all junk anyway >.>
